Partnering with Parents and Families
Committed to helping families raise children who are faithful, focused and achieving to the best of their abilities. Our Catholic tradition and culture believe that parents and guardians have a vital role in the success of a school system. Cedar Valley Catholic Schools are filled with families who value the educational mission and partnership between the home and school.
Involvement
As a parent/guardian in our school system, we hope you will find time to be involved, share your talents and volunteer in the schools. There are many ways to support the schools - it could be reading in the classroom, serving on the Parent Teacher Organization, joining the booster club, helping a teacher with a class project or field trip, planning a class party, taking photos at a school event, cheering on the sidelines, helping with the post prom party, running the lights for a play, the list is endless. Our schools are stronger because of the investment of time, talent, and treasure from our parents and families.
Most Cedar Valley Catholic Schools have some sort of parent association to support the school with many community building and fundraising activities. In addition, CVCS has a board of education that provides counsel and support to school leadership in forming school policies, providing financial management, contributing to the schools’ strategic plans and in advancing the CVCS mission.
